POSITION: Marketing Executive. Full time. Based in London.

In this role you will have the chance to be part of a team which is in the middle of positive change and growth. With a wealth of new marketing tools, resources, global team members and goals, we are looking for a Marketing Executive who can help to take us into the next phase of our evolution.

Gone are the days of Britannica as an encyclopaedia that sits on a shelf in a library and we want a team member who can reflect this! We want a team member who can support us in the modern era, marketing to a modern audience and who brings a special something to our established Britannica team. Don’t be afraid to be different!

 

Experience in the education sector is a must.

 

You will be responsible for delivering three core functions, as well as other functions as required.

Primary Job Functions

. Email Marketing

. Content creation

. Social Media management

Email Marketing

This will be the core function of the role, and a suitable candidate will have a proven history of success with email marketing campaigns. We have recently moved to Marketing Cloud as our platform, so experience in this is a plus. This function will include:

  • Use of marketing automation platforms
  • Campaign creation and an understanding of end-to-end campaigns
  • Content creation (inc: imagery, copy etc)
  • Creation of emails templates
  • Creation of journeys and automation
  • Analysis of campaigns
  • Audience segmentation

Content Creation

Content drives many areas of our marketing, and we constantly strive to provide innovative and engaging content to share with our target audiences. This function will include:

  • Supporting Marketing Manager with copy writing & collation (blog pieces, thought leadership etc)
  • Simple design (image editing etc)
  • Complex design is desirable but not a necessity (ie: Brochure, Leaflet)

Social Media

We are constantly looking to drive growth and brand exposure across our social media channels, these primarily include Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin but also Vimeo/Youtube, Pintrest and Instagram.  This function will include:

  • Creation of social media posting
  • Scheduling of posts across all channels
  • Constant strive for innovative social content.

Other responsibilities

While the above three core functions will be the majority of the role, the below areas are also areas which a strong candidate will be able to support where necessary:

  • Event management
  • Simple design (image editing etc)
  • Complex design (leaflets, brochures etc)
  • Paid advertising (display, ppc)
  • Website maintenance (WordPress)
  • SEO

Experience in the education sector, with strong command of the English language is essential. Fluency in other languages is also a plus. Attention to detail is key, and experience with modern marketing channels, tools and trends is a necessity.
