1.  How can Britannica Academic support our institution’s research goals?
Britannica Academic provides up-to-date and easy access to high-quality, comprehensive information and is a gateway for further research for colleges, academic libraries and institutions.

2. Does Britannica Academic support English language learners?
Britannica Academic provides text-to-speech, video and audio multimedia assets, Merriam Webster’s Collegiate double-click dictionary and thesaurus. Additionally, Arabic and Spanish readers can benefit from our unique 98% contextually accurate, on-demand translation of any word or phrase.

3. How can we integrate Britannica Academic?
Depending on your requirements, we can provide access by username and password, IP authentication, URL referral, EZ Proxy, Shibboleth and Athens. Britannica can also be used remotely. For further technical support, please contact Britannica on +44 (0)20 7500 7800. This service is available Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm UK time.

4.  Can I copy or reuse content in my own work?
All Britannica content is royalty-free and cleared for copyright on the condition that it is being used for an educational, non-commercial purpose. You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, service mark or other legends or proprietary notices.

5.  Are your usage statistics Counter-compliant?
The Britannica statistics are not certified Counter-compliant but they are supplied according to the requirements of Counter. They can easily be imported into Counter services. When you subscribe, Britannica will provide the administrator with a username and password specific to your institution. Simply go to http://stats.eb.com to login. If you do not have your username or password, please contact ukbol@britannica.co.uk.

6.  How will the Britannica team support my subscription?
Britannica provides a range of online resources to help with the uptake and use of its resources; links can be found here. Britannica provides regular online webinars for new and existing customers; you can book these here. In addition, for new customers, we organise customer-specific online training tailored to meet your school’s specific needs.
