Duties and Responsibilities:

The role involves calling International Schools to inform them about Britannica’s Digital Learning platform and to invite the school to an online screen share demonstration with one of the company’s Account Executives. This is a home-based role, working remotely.

The role as Appointment Executive can be very rewarding because of the variety of different countries and schools that you can engage with daily. The flexibility allowed to choose your own hours means that you can work around your other life commitments.

The team at Britannica offer support and encouragement to help you achieve to your best ability. There is a small team of International Schools Appointment and Account Executives that also work from home, who encourage an environment of teamwork and good communication. You will work independently but you are not alone.

Tasks & Responsibilities 

• Using a database to manage accounts
• Keeping information up to date and correct
• Accurately recording all activities and planning future tasks
• Calling and emailing prospective clients
• Organising screens share demonstrations
• Managing your Account Executives calendar
• Assisting Marketing with campaigns

Skills & Experience

• A background of sales would be beneficial
• A proactive attitude to your work
• Computer literate and efficient with new software, specifically Sales Force.
• Great communication through emails and phone calls
• A team mate who can help anyone in the company, regardless of personal benefits, to achieve as a group, not an individual
• The ability to read and understand human behaviour to make communication clear and unobtrusive

Conditions of the Role

• This is a self-employed position, so personal tax records need to be submitted independently
• Monday to Friday, 30-35 hours a week, term time only
• £10 per hour
• Laptop and headset are provided
• Training is provided
• Position starts in August/ September
